Ideas for kids this New Years!
How easy is this? And it's edible. Ice Cream Cones - prepared canned frosting and yes - MORE SPRINKLES! I think I would add some licorice whip strings out the top for the firework effect.
Makes me wish I had young children to still do crafts with.
Cake pops and a use for the left over candy canes. I don't think I would replace the stick with the cane. It probably won't hold thru the candy dipping process. Candy Canes are also on clearance so it is a cheap alternative to the expensive sticks.

A look back.
10 things I did this year!
1. Worked as a 2 store manager for the first time.
2. Found my mothers birth family.
3. Found Uncle Bill - my husbands dads brother!
4. Realized my kids have to make their own mistakes.
5. Went drinking with my 21 year old daughter on her birthday.
6. Went to see my son in his first gig.
7. Not give up on the effort to connect with my brother.
8. Decided I would bake more.
9. Took a vacation for a week and did nothing.
10.Be amazed at my middle daughters baking abilities!
New Years Plans:
Unfortunately I have to work as required by the law of (F.V.- companies initials) until 8pm It's retail people and this is our busiest day of the year. I'll then come home to my son and my husband and probably make some snacks and either watch tv or play some board game. My husband will most likely fall asleep at multiple times during the night. We'll ring in the New Year and then go to bed because I work at 10am New Years Day. Weeeee!
Who do you miss talking to?
I'd have to say 2 employees who used to work for me - Tanya (always great conversation) and Felicia (and her sassy self!). I miss talking to my only female cousin I have - Cassie. And I wish that we were closer to my husbands sister and brother - great people and we now have a niece who is growing up and with our crazy retail schedules and families we don't get to see them as much as we want to. And lastly and most importantly - my brother.
List the things you want to change in the New Year....
I can't say that I would WISH for things to be different because everything thrown our way, is done so for a reason. It makes us stronger, makes us learn from our mistakes and grow as people. I would like to continue to be more organized, get rid of the unimportant crap in my life, to have a relationship with my mothers birth family, meet my husbands dads family, and learn to relax!
What do you regret?
Not one thing. Ah...maybe my Italian mouth and temper. Thanks mom!
